John McCarroll passed away on December 8, in Manchester, New Hampshire. Funeral Home Services for John are being provided by Connor-Healy Funeral Home - Born: Mar 15, A number of different organisations are to come together to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day in Killyleagh, with support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Frederic Weatherly was inspired to pen O’Danny Boy after his sister-in-law Margaret sent him a copy of “Londonderry Air” from the United States inprompting Weatherly to change the lyrics of Danny Boy in order to fit the tune of “Londonderry Air”.
